INSTRUCTORS


NAAMA CHEZAR
(Boot Camp, Core Fit Training, Self-Defense Workshops)

Experience: Naama trained in Krav Maga, the official combat system of the Israeli Defense Force then went on to teach Krav Maga to military personnel, and self defense programs to high school students.
Certifications: Naama acquired her personal training certification with the American Council on Exercise (ACE). Naama also earned a Krav Maga Fitness & Conditioning instruction certification at the Krav Maga National Training Center in Santa Monica where she now teaches on a part-time basis.
Interests: Naama loves to travel and has backpacked throughout South America, Australia and Southeast Asia. Naama also loves to practice Krav Maga.
Favorite foods: Avocado, hummus, and lamb.




LOLA KENDALL (Yoga)

Experience: Lola has been teaching yoga for 35 years!
Lola also teaches: Spiritual Stretch, Core Circuit Training, Passion Dance, and Mat Pilates classes.
Special Skills: Guided Meditation, Improvisational Dance, Qigong & Martial Arts.
Interests: Cooking, dancing, weight lifting, playing with her dog, playing the drums and writing poetry.
Favorite foods: Vegetarian dishes, salads, and Italian food.




CATHY MARLOWE (Yoga)

Education: Fine Arts Degree, Philadelphia College of Performing Arts;
Bachelor of Arts, Communications, Villanova University;
Master of Business Administration (MBA), Pepperdine University
Experience: 200 hours yoga certification; Yoga Alliance member; Has been teaching yoga for 5 years.
Interests: Hiking, yoga, reading, socializing, wine tasting, theatre, visiting museums, and laughing.
Favorite foods: Loves all kinds of food except for Sushi…… all-time favorite is pizza!



JACK NUNN (Indoor Cycling)

Education: B.A. - Business/Communications, UC Berkeley
Certification: Indoor Cycling - American Council on Exercise (ACE).
Experience: Jack has been cycling for 7 years and teaching spin for about 3 years.
Interests: Jack is currently training for his first full Ironman triathlon in Nice, France at
the end of June. He loves to run on the beach, surf, ski, play ice hockey,
baseball, soccer, and tennis.
Of Interest: Jack’s father was a bronze medalist in rowing in the 1968 Mexico City Olympics. He was also an Olympic rowing coach in 1976 at Montreal and still competes in rowing with Masters races across the globe at age 65.
Favorite foods: would have to be pasta/pizza and any kind of fish.



LOIS SCHUNK (Step Aerobics, Sculpt)

Education: Lois holds a Ph.D., in clinical psychology and practices as a Marriage & Family Therapist when she is not teaching exercise classes or personal training.
Experience & background: Her 19 years as a Physician Assistant in Family Practice and Industrial Medicine contributes to her knowledge as a fitness professional when working with clients of all levels.
Certifications: Certified in both AFAA and ACE credentials, she believes that exercise should be fun and a precursor to enjoyable activities in life, both in and out of the gym.
Interests: On weekends you may find her on the bike path or hiking path using those quads and hamstrings she loves to promote in class. But her real passion lies in the mountains and trails in far away countries just waiting to be explored. She is an avid traveler and trekker, having visited all seven of the world’s continents and sees fitness as a way to find the solitude and excitement that life has to offer. When at home, her three cats, Suila, Cuzco and Killi (short for Kilimanjaro) and husband Dan keep her busy and grounded.



ARMANDO VALLIN (Dance-Cardio, Salsa-Cardio)

Education: Graduated from UC San Diego with a Biology Degree.
Experience: Armando has been dancing since the age of 6 yrs old and teaching for 10 years. He has been teaching all of the salsa and dance related classes at The Club since early 2007.
Interests: Painting, drawing and creating art!
Favorites foods: Loves to eat every kind of international food.



ALEX WIELICZKO (Yoga)

Certification: Cloud Nine Yoga.
Experience: Alex has been teaching yoga for 6 years.
Interests & Hobbies: Meditation, martial arts, weight training, surfing and eastern philosophy. Alex is also currently working on his NASM certification to become a personal trainer.
Favorite foods: Thai, Sushi and Vegetarian.



JESSICA YORK (Cardio-Kickboxing)

Education: BA in Journalism
Instructor Certifications: Group Exercise - AFAA, Mad Dog Indoor Cycling, Turbo Kick-boxing, and Bosu training.
Experience: Jessica has been teaching group exercise since 1995.
Interests: She loves to snowboard, ski, rollerblade, surf, play volleyball, mountain bike, travel and enjoy happy hour!
Favorite foods: Anything that's served at Thanksgiving dinner!
